FOOTHILL FOCUSES ON BRANDS AT LICENSING SHOW

(New York—June 21) Foothill Entertainment, Inc. comes to New York to launch four brand new properties at the 2005 New York Licensing Show. Intended for the pre- and early school demo, these diverse properties were created by the Emmy® Award winning team at phuuz entertainment inc. Generally known for their older, cutting edge designs, phuuz creative head, Eric Radomski, has turned his hand to the younger market with these inspired designs.

Iconicles™ approaches the world around us with the innocence and simplicity of a child’s eye. Intended to be an early learning tool, the Iconicles design palate presents a truly unforgettable collection of uniquely visualized characters designed with sophisticated simplicity in order to display each character’s unique and memorable qualities. Intended to be the theme for early language and literacy programs, Iconicles teaches and reinforces cognitive skills.

Ever wonder what a young child is thinking, when they are staring off into space, daydreaming? This is the world of Minee Thoughts™. It presents us with the sweet, gentle inner thoughts of Minee, a young 4 year old girl. Immersed in an inquisitive, wonderful world of her own, we follow Minee’s thoughts as she explores the world around her. A beautiful design for girls, Minee Thoughts is perfect for publishing, apparel and educational toys.

Moving to the world of play and make-believe, phuuz has created BareBears™. Set in Cave Town, Silky and Milky Bear made an amazing discovery one day - they were BARE! No Clothes! But when the Town Council of Cave Town decreed that all Bears must wear clothes, BareBears were born! With Silky and Milky Bear leading the way, the many bears of Cave Town wear the clothes, uniforms and attire of a normal, everyday community. Ideal for creative role play and plush, BareBears is a fun and unique approach to the learning about the community around us.

Foothill is also introducing at the Licensing Show, a new multi-faceted property from phuuz, based on its Ghi Shin™ brand, starting with the first unique design, Yuri™. Living in a little pot surrounded by daisies, Yuri™ loves her simple home although she is mostly alone. She would love to have friends, but she always seems to scare them away. Not intentionally, of course. You see, Yuri is a “ghi shin”, a ghost. But the one thing she would love to be, her wish, her dream, is to be a human being. Her close friend, a cat named Jefferson Thomas, understands this longing and tries to help her in any way he can. This publishing-based property introduces us to the happy/sad world of Yuri, a little girl ghost who wants to be a human. Intended to be the foundation for a series of books, Yuri’s unique storyline teaches us that although we are different, we all still belong.

Licensing Show 2005 also marks the merchandising re-launch of the 70’s animated hit, Batfink. With “wings like a shield of steel,” Batfink is currently enjoying a huge revival in the UK and Australia, having achieved cult status in both countries. Similarly, the fast paced, funny program has long been an underground favorite among the 20-somethings in the US, with its memorable cast of characters such as his sidekick, Karate, and arch villain, Hugo A Go Go. Licensing is being handled by Dimensional Branding Group, Booth #3173.

Similarly, the Licensing Show marks the US launch of Foothill’s delightful pre-school property Snapper, created by UK based Phew!! which has already garnered a great deal of broadcaster and licensing interest. Designed to highlight its classic characteristics, this 3D animated property features a small, mischievous crocodile that does not swim. Snapper is already being developed for the web in addition to its initial television development.

Founded in September 2000 by former DIC Entertainment executive vice president of business and legal affairs, Gregory Payne and Jo Kavanagh-Payne, former Link Television Entertainment, Inc senior vice president of U.S. operations, Foothill specializes in the co-development and distribution of children’s and family entertainment programming. Their company is based in Santa Barbara, California.
